Abd Al-Razzaq Al-Maqri

Dr Abdul Razzaq Maqri (also Al-Maqri) is a member of the GMJ International Central Committee. He is the GMJ co-ordinator in Algeria and the North African countries and a former Algerian parliamentarian.  Maqri is deputy head of Algeria’s main Islamist group, the ‘Movement of Society for Peace’ and headed the Algerian delegation aboard the Mavi Marmara in 2010. In a statement before the launch of the flotilla, Maqri said that “The Algerians on board will hear only the orders of their leaders, who seek to break the siege. [The options are] martyrdom, imprisonment, or breaking [the siege].”

In this video from October 2010, Maqri can be seen stating that “all our blood is Palestine” and declaring that “Israel will be annihilated soon”.
